National Council of State Housing Finance Agencies Honors IFA with National Marketing Award The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) was today honored with a national award for excellence in marketing from the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA). The award was announced at NCSHA’s annual conference in Houston, Texas. “The Iowa Finance Authority staff does excellent work on behalf of Iowans every day,” said Iowa Finance Authority Executive Director Debi Durham. “I’m proud that they’ve been nationally recognized with this prestigious award for their efforts.” The award-winning initiative provides homeownership education to potential homebuyers and connects preliminarily eligible homebuyers with Preferred IFA Lenders in their area, ultimately converting hundreds of potential homebuyers to homeowners using IFA programs. More information about the resource for homebuyers is available at iowafinance.com/welcomehome. “The prestigious NCSHA Awards recognize innovative, results-driven initiatives which are replicable by other states. This marketing tool can be used as a framework for connecting homebuyers with lenders nationwide as we work to open doors to upward economic mobility and wealth creation for new homeowners throughout the country,” said NCSHA Executive Director Stockton Williams. The NCSHA awards program mission is to share information about the most successful housing programs, identify industry best practices, recognize exemplary Housing Finance Agency (HFA) efforts, and encourage HFA innovation. The winning programs were judged on originality, innovation, a proven track record in the marketplace, cost/benefit ratio and measurable benefits provided to targeted customers. The National Council of State Housing Agencies – known as NCSHA – is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan association that advocates on behalf of HFAs before Congress and the Administration for affordable housing resources. It represents the HFAs of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, New York City, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Membership also includes more than 300 affordable housing industry partners.
