DES MOINES — The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) has announced the designation of 16 lenders and two Realtors® as its 2025 Preferred partners. These Preferred partners are dedicated advocates for Iowa homebuyers, equipped with specialized training in IFA’s mortgage, down payment and closing cost assistance programs. In addition to the Preferred partners, six lenders and Realtors® have been designated as Ambassador partners. This designation is intended to recognize new and/or emerging IFA partners interested in becoming Preferred partners in the future. IFA provides affordable mortgage options, down payment assistance, and closing cost programs for eligible homebuyers, facilitated through a broad network of lenders and Realtors® across the state. In fiscal year 2024, local lenders helped over 2,600 Iowans purchase homes using IFA programs. “I want to congratulate the loan officers and Realtors® who have earned the Preferred and Ambassador designations,” said IFA Director Debi Durham. “With September being National Mortgage Professional Month, it’s a fitting time to celebrate our partners’ contributions to helping Iowans achieve homeownership, which plays a crucial role in wealth creation and economic mobility.” All IFA Participating Partners serve as reliable resources for homebuyers in their communities. Both Preferred and Ambassador partners have undergone additional training and committed to high standards of excellence in promoting IFA programs. Eligible Iowa lenders and Realtors® in good standing with IFA were invited to apply for the designations and attend the annual training session for Preferred Lenders and Realtors® at the HousingIowa Conference in September.
