IFA may verify the accuracy of the submitted paid invoice through verification from the contractor.

  1. Create an IowaGrants account in order to submit a full Disaster Recovery Housing Assistance Program application. Note: If you are creating an IowaGrants.gov account for your use only as an individual homeowner, please enter your name and address in the “organization” fields required when setting up your account.
  2. You will receive an email confirmation when your new registration/account with IowaGrants has been created.
  3. Log into IowaGrants, search for the Disaster Recovery Housing Assistance Program application, and then start a full application for assistance.
  4. You must mark all sections of the application complete and then click the submit button.
  5. After submission, you will receive an on-screen notification that the application has been submitted and an email confirmation. You will also see your DRHAP application in "Submitted" status.
